Dirty Town / Love & Truth / Oh Ana / Little Hands / Polynesia / Angry Sea / Train Of Thought / Verbatim / Tic Toc / Ball Cap / Fat Kids / Neighbour / Babies / Mamma Told Me // hidden track – “Home Recording”
All/most of the songs are the same recordings used on Touch Up. Dirty Town is a different one but it sounds almost exactly the same…I had to listen a few times to even be sure it was a different recording.
Touch Up Era - None that I’m aware of.
O My Heart Era:
Heart Heavy - Bonus iTunes track - available with purchase of entire album
Love to Death - Written during the OMH-era but never recorded, was played live once on CBC3. Listen here.
Wrecking Ball Live Outro (does anyone know if it has a real title?) - Can be found tacked onto the end of many (not not all) live performances of Wrecking Ball. Here’s a high-quality audio version. The source for this was taken down but I saved the MP3. Send me an ask if you want it :)
Forever And A Bit- Recorded for Eureka but never used, this track was finally released for the #MMmob on June 4, 2012. Download on facebook here (or message me if you don’t use facebook and I’ll email it myself).
Eureka - Played live frequently before the album came out, this song was eventually scrapped and never recorded. A part of it was used as the outro for “Calm Me Down”. The only known recording of the song is here (Update - The song was played at the Dec 30 19+ show. I recorded it in Calgary. Video)
I’m OK In The Dark - A short clip of this song was featured in this video blog . // Update Jan 2012: There is no full version. This was recorded only for the vlog.
Bright Idea - Featured in the recent Kraft Cheese commercials, this song is not actually a proper single but rather a song commissioned by and written for Kraft. It is available for purchase on MM’s iTunes page.
The Sticks Era
Cesspool Of Love iTunes bonus track
All Gone iTunes bonus Track
Slip Awayb-side to the “Bit by Bit” single, available on iTunes.
was kind enough to send me a copy! It’s very jazzy. She was working on a new solo album in 2008 before being picked up by Mother Mother. Her most recent solo performance was January 2011.
Guest spots - Jasmin has lent her voice to several projects including:
Jeremy Page - Bassist for former member Kenton Leowen’s band The Crackling .
Former Members
Kenton Leowen - The Crackling. Kenton, MM’s old drummer, has a project called “The Crackling”. I’ve heard a few tracks and I quite like it. Check him out at http://www.thecrackling.com/ **Update** Jeremy Page used to play with them! I did not know. He occasionally joins the band for Vancouver performances.
Debra-Jean Creelman - Debra-Jean and the Means. Debra, MM’s old vocalist, moved on in 2008 to work on a solo career. I recently purchased her EP and really like it. As of late, she’s been fronting a Vancouver-based cover band called Debra Jean And The Dreams. Find her at http://www.debra-jean.com/
– I will keep editing and adding to this. If you have anything to contribute, please do. Enjoy!
